Main Requirements:

Build the first iteration of your project that creates solutions to health- and wellness-related challenges.

  • This is an exercise in learning.

  • Code integrity is rewarded, as opposed to merely delivering a clean product.

  • Students must form teams of 3 to 4 people.

  • Use Discord to communicate with your teammates throughout the Hackathon.

 Projects:

  • Hackers can create any type of project, as long as it is relevant to the hackathon’s theme: Health & Wellness

  • Health & Wellness themes can include all components of health and wellness, such as exercise and fitness, mental health, nutrition, and medicine.

  • Hackers can also compete for categories listed on our DevPost.

  • Hackers are not allowed to use projects they have already worked on previously to the event.

  • Projects can be geared toward web development, mobile development, and data science.

  • Hackers should also be able to answer the question: “How does my project relate to the theme?”

  • Projects do not have to be deployed. If the project is not deployed, please provide instructions on how to run it locally.

  • Example project ideas:

    • Breast Cancer Detection

    • Journaling App

    • Fitness Tracker

    • Patient Portal

Time:

  • Hackers have from August 22 - August 26, 2022, at 7 pm EDT to work on and submit their projects.

Project Submissions:

  • Teams must submit projects on DevPost by August 26, 2022, at 7 pm EDT so they can be judged.

  • Submit a link to the project’s GitHub repository and/or deployed website.

  • Provide a slide deck (PowerPoint/Canva, etc.) or a video that showcases your project.
